McGee claim ruling
 

If everyone would please give their opinions the following issue:

It's another case of new issue, and as we have had some leniency with first time offenders, I am leaning towards this also...but really an argument can be made both ways, so I would like to get the leagues opinions...

I say allow it this time, but in the future, if you don’t say claim and place him on my PS, its implied you claim and he goes to your active roster.
I agree with Burt, as i keep up the Frenzy site, we can’t just assume the obvious, so it has to be implied that you post exactly what you want to do in the future, if you just say claim, a PS TS player would go to active.

I agree with Dale on where he should be placed to clean this up. We also should not put the commish in a situation where he has to assume or guess where to put players.

I also see Matts side that he did not know if he was awarded the player. Burt has lot going on to keep everything updated and sometimes he might miss a transaction. When this happens it's our responsibility to send him a PM and ask him to look at it when he does the next update.

OK...I guess Matt is ultimately asking the following:

a) Can he now make roster adjustments to claim McGee
b) Can he rescind the claim altogether

What I am asking opinions from league, is should we allow either of Matt's options, or stick to what the rule states, put McGee on his TS, and penalty for invalid rookie roster assignments is loss of last pick taken in rookie draft (this we have done in the past)

I am all for leniency for first time offenders where rules are kind of sketchy, and not really sure this fits

I'm for leniency in this case, as it obviously wasn't done to gain a competitive advantage.
Giving him either option is good by me.

I would be fine with either move...but if I were to choose, I'd favor option B. He went through the draft and entire off season as if the move didn't happen so I think the fair and easy move is to just rescind the claim w/o penalty.

Sounds like people do not object..lets just go ahead and rescind the claim, and leave things as they currently stand...
