While updating the roster app, I've just noticed that Derby Cars are over the Taxi Squad contract years cap by 3 years.

Jimmy Claussen - 4 years
Jordan Shipley - 4 years
Cam Newton - 5 years
Austin Pettis - 5 years
Bilal Powell - 5 years

Does anyone remember if this had occurred before and if so what the precedent was? I'm thinking it's the loss of the lowest drafted player which would be Bilal Powell in this case.

I've looked through the rules, and it only says the total number of years can't exceed 20 (and no player can have more than 5 years max).
And to the best of my knowledge, we've never had this problem before in the FRENZY. Normally, we'd catch this right around the declaration time. Our bad.

I'm going to rule that the "penalty" is the last player added will have his contract years reduced to make it compliant to the 20 year max. In this case, Bilal Powell's contract will be 2 years.
