2.07 WR Greg Salas, STL
 

The whole reason I traded 1.10 for two picks in the second round was to get this guy, WR Greg Salas (I know I could have picked him at 1.10, but it would have been way too early, and not a value pick).

Call it a homer pick if you want. But I watched this guy play ball for 3 years at the University of Hawaii, and he's incredible. He's not super fast... but he can catch ANYTHING thrown his way (and stuff that shouldn't be catchable!). In fact, Matt Waldman (footballguys.com) says he has the best hands of any receiver in this year's draft.

Not only does he have incredible hands, but he's not afraid to go in the middle of the field... and even split defenders. He welcomes contact, and it takes a LOT to bring him down (I've seen him carry defenders for yards after first contact).

He wasn't the first WR selected by the Rams... but many believe he'll be the "Wes Welker-type" possession receiver for Sam Bradford (Sigmund Bloom compares him to Austin Collie).

So laugh all you want... but I firmly expect him to be the No.2 receiver in St.Louis within 2 years. I'm so looking forward to watching him on Sundays!!!

FBG's Blooms Top 100 post draft has him ranked #14, ahead of Pettis...not a bad choice here...
