Pro Bowl, Baby!!!
 

So Mike went to the Super Bowl, eh? Big whoop. So what if it was the #1 Offense vs. the #1 Defense in THE GAME of the season, where both teams were playing their hearts out for all the honor & glory of the season....

Tomorrow... I'm going to the Pro Bowl!!!

Yesiree! I'm going to watch some of the best NFL players (during the regular season, that is) who are "just happy to be here" in the islands... soaking up the sun... signing autographs at local card shops for $30-$150 a pop... and taking their wives shopping. Don't tell me that they don't want to play hard, for fear of risking injury. Don't throw the rules in my face that prohibits blitzing... or rushing the passer... or even trying on extra points...

I don't want to hear it...

Because it's FOOTBALL IN THE ISLANDS!!! And I'll be on the 50 yard line 6 rows from the field... well, that's not exactly true... it's really the 35 yard line, 6 rows from the top of the stadium. But hey, they're still good seats! I'm taking my wife and son, and we're going to have a blast!

Jim, Be sure to bring a big Opihi flag with you... I watch for you on punts! Have a great time!

The game, although a blow-out, was actually quite fun to watch. One of the best parts (besides watching all of my OPIHI all-stars) was watching Ricky Williams on special teams! I don't know if the TV covered it, but he was going ALL-OUT on special teams... trying to make tackles & take out players. I was impressed with how hard Ricky played today. Glad he got the MVP.

Other observations: NFC QBs totally sucked. Couldn't do anything (maybe that was a reflection on the O-Line?). But the AFC's defense was on it today, that's for sure.

Plus it's always nice to see the "all-star" cheerleaders.

Weather was great! Food was expensive. My son, Ezra, was bummed that they sold out of the ProBowl Nerf Footballs by halftime. Oh well.

(Mike, we got more cups!)
