Round 1 Predictions
Round 1 Predictions
by Prof. Gnosticator Here we are roughly 30 minutes till kickoff in to open the first round of playoffs in this here Feeding Frenzy League. After sitting up all night in deep meditation, I'm ready to clean up the bird entrails, take the pyramid-shaped hat off my head, and make my initial predictions. Wonder vs. Parkwood Sad to say this one didn't give me much trouble. The Predators probably have the most solid line-up top to bottom. The Mutts are starting James Allen, Terry Glenn and Tai Streets. Predators 132.25, Mutts 87.40 Nittany vs. Jersey Owen will fight through his injuries for a big day against the Packers, but the Tampa O is fated for a trap game against the Lions, so the Waste shouldn't expect much help from Keyshawn. The Tampa D, on the other hand, will fare substantially better than Miamu's D vs. the Raiders. Gannon and Curtis Martin carry the Dodgers to the win. Dodgers 129.15, Toxic Waste 114.85 Projections: This season's Dark Horse is the Dodgers. If any team will upset their way into the finals, it will be them. Disclaimer: hey, I don't like it either, but I don't just make this stuff up y'know, it's all right there in the crow guts. Of course I hope at least one of my predictions is wrong so the Undead don't have to face the Dark Horse in Round 2! Good luck everybody! |
I'll definately be happy to play the role of dark horse this season. It's going to take me another season or two to build the Dodgers into the "favorite" role, so dark horse suits me fine. Let's hope that the projections hold true, and David Patten puts up big numbers for me tonight.
I just won my money league Championship this weekend (I'm leading 86 to 68 with Tom Brady still to go for me tonight) so all is good for me in FF win or lose! |
Looks like the Dark Horse Dodgers will be riding off into the sunset. Good luck to all the remaining teams!

I love being the underdog!!!! Who's next........Let me at em!!!

Arright, Prof. Gnosticator has just lost his tenure! At least he almost called the Bucs-Lions game.
Meanwhile, thank goodness for first-round byes, my guys sure sure didn't amount to much in week 15. Now it looks like I'll be Holmesless in Week 16 against the Preds. Gut-check time! |
