Taxi Squad Players Entering 4th Season

Since the rules are not clear on the exact date at which TS players entering their 4th season need to be cut or promoted to AS, would you be opposed to allowing a one week grace period to either cut (w/o penalty) those entering their 4th season or promote them to Active?

Would adding this statement to the rules clarify this in future years?
"Taxi-squad players entering their fourth season of NFL experience are considered part of the active squad as of April 1st of the year in which they will be starting their fourth season. Such players can be released without a cap hit prior to April 1."

I am not sure on the bolded part below. My read of the 2006 thread was that they can be cut even after April 1st without a cap hit.

Such players can be released without a cap hit prior to April 1.

Why not make it cut and dry? All other players have their salaries/years rolled over April 1...why treat TS players any differently? As long as we are all aware of the rule, there should be no reason to add a clause to the rule. As of April 1, all players entering their 4th year on contract will roll to active squad unless cut prior. It's already written in rule book you can cut TS/PS players without penalty.

I'm pretty certain that's how we handled the TS in the past, just may not have had it down properly in writing.

I do remember rolling over the apps from 1 year to the next and using the April 1st date for all transactions, including the TS players.
