'GENTLEMEN... START YOUR (draft) ENGINES!'

As of Wednesday, May 26, 2010... the 2010 Frenzy Rookie Draft has officially begun. The MUTTS are on the clock with the #1 overall pick... however, we're going to be a bit lenient on the 24-hour pick window during the first few days... just to make sure everyone's ready to go!

Off to play basketball... will be back in the office in about 3 hours. I have two guys on my "short list," so no matter who Rich picks (Llamas), I'm set to make my selection then!

(Though depending on who Rich picks... might be willing to trade down a few slots, too! No more than 2-3, however... make me an offer if you really want someone!)

Technically, the 24-hour window has expired on the start of the 3rd round (Mutts). However, considering it's MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, I say we cut the Mutts a little slack... and extend their draft window to 2pm EST tomorrow (Tuesday). If, at that time, they haven't made a pick, then the 3.02 slot holder can pick. Of course, the Mutts can make their pick anytime after that... but it will still be slotted at the 3.01 spot for salary purposes.

I disagree. The last pick was made on Sunday and the rules we are using say 24 hours for Monday - Thursday and 48 hours for Friday and Saturday with no mention of Sunday. I'm sure we intended Sunday to be with the Monday to Thursday grouping but it's not. I think we have to give Mutts until 9:56pm Tuesday (tonight) for 48 hour window to pass...
I will revise in 2010 Rulebook revision.

The rule was intended to be 48 hours for picks made Friday, Saturday or Sunday, to account for weekends and Holidays....rules should be amended - so John is correct, if last pick was on Sunday, then the clock should run for 48 hours...

The Mutts are still on the clock... because today is Friday, they have a 48-hour window. We'll check back at this same bat-time tomorrow night... and see where things stand.
