Effective 12/31/08 my host will be ending support for sql4 database, which is the database used by the version of vbulletin I own a license to.

I am basically faced with 2 options:

A - Upgrading and reinstalling the latest version of vbulletin software which runs on sql5 (which will cost $60 for a 1 year support renewal to download the current version), plus a boatload of time to install and configure

or

B - Close up shop

In light of the fact that I no longer have a personal use for these boards, option B will be my choice unless someone in Frenzy or SACD wants to take over all the admin of them, including the migration to the new database format.

Plan accordingly guys. This is like saying good bye to an old friend (or in this case 20 something old friends), but it's the next step I'll be taking.

We only have 10 registered users between SAC'D and Frenzy signed up. I know we have some owners doing both, but everyone needs to sign up.
