[Editing rather than replying, since I don't want to bump the active thread when I'm not making a bid.]

I can't disagree that this is what the rules spell out. This needs to be changed next off-season, as it makes no sense to have a random 48 hour freeze period right in the middle of people filling out their rosters. The freeze period is to handle the playing of Frenzy games. Without any games being played, it makes no sense not to continue regular bidding rules.

Brian pointed out to me that it would be confusing to have in-season bidding start a week and a half before the season, yet have a different set of rules for the first week of it. I agree. My suggestion will be that the entire off-season to in-season changeoever, including team declarations, should happen on the day after Labor Day. It doesn't make any sense to me that that you have to make all your team declarations before you even get to see what happens with the final, and most important, round of NFL cuts.

I will put it on the agenda for next season.

I think you still have to wait another 24 hours... any bids made Sunday or Monday during the "in season" bidding, do not officially post until 12:01 Tuesday morning, per the rules... so your 9/1 bid actually started at 12:01 on the 2nd... just FYI.

I'd agree with Jim. There appears to be no distinction that it only is in effect when the games have started.

Actually, it is 48-72 hours, depending on when you make the initial bid.
