What are we looking for here? To the best of my knowledge he is on the PUP and is expected to start the season on the PUP. Is there a formal place where they track these things in the pre-season that I can check out? I am not sure what the season opening process is for the IR but I have not found anything that indicates that he will be on the active 53 man roster to start the season.

The IR rules during the season are based on the injury report. Previously, when teams have placed players on IR at this point in the season, they've provided some sort of evidence of their confirmed injury status. I haven't been paying attention to his situation, so I have no idea if he's on the PUP or not. I've moved him to the IR on the roster app, so we can leave it as is unless someone else questions his injury status.
