Didn't realize he'd be moved up to the active squad automatically this off season or I would have dropped him sooner. Oh well.

Preds can confirm, but yes I believe you can within 72 hours of his release.

I have the space at this point and with two years if he does something this year we can extend him. If not we cut him and eat the $150 (or so) cap penalty.

It's possible there weren't any waiver claims last season. Unless someone can think of one, I'll just update it with this claim.
