Jonathan Stewart signs contract
 

During a press release today in Coon Rapids, MN, the Amish have signed Jonathan Stewart. Terms and conditions of the deal will be released at a later date.

Amish owner Joel Nydam was excited with the idea of Stewart's power up the middle and break-away speed joining forces with super-stud Steven Jackson and breakout player of last year Earnest Graham in the backfield.

The Amish pushed hard to get younger this year at all positions. With the RFA signings of Coltson and Jackson, the Amish have been busy this season. Although seeing Manning leave for more money was a sad sight, letting Willie Parker walk away seems like a good decision seeing the drafting of Mendenhall in Pittsburgh.

When asked why the decision of Jonathan Stewart over Rashard Mendenhall, Nydam responded, "Well, honestly I couldn't decide. So I put their names in a hat and had my daughter Salomae and wife Mandy draw. Stewart came out twice so I thought, What the heck!"

The Amish will now focus on the second round of the draft. With having 3 picks in the first 15, and three second round picks, the Amish look to add the best talent to a roster that shows great upgrade over last years dismal team.
