Wonder where he ends up now that he's officially demanded a trade.

Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
Is it appropriate to now chat on the individual players? If so, I have to say that I almost went all in on Chad. He's an unbelievable receiver. But I think Marvin Lewis is an inept coach, and tried blaming Ocho Cinco for his team's troubles.
Chad Johnson didn't play defense, didn't play offensive line and didn't run the football last year, and those were the three areas the Bengals sucked at. It will remain an interesting subplot to the off-season to see where he ends up. I wish my Titans would make a run for him, but I just don't see that happening. |
Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
Yah can talk about a player all you want.
I love Ocho Cinco's game and I wish Al Davis would make a run at him. I don't know what we'd trade we have no 2nd rounder this year, but I'd give up a 2nd rounder next year! |
Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
With the signing of LT, no way I could keep CJ too, and RB was a bigger need...simple as that...would have loved to have kept CJ, but I decided last year to go with Wayne on a 2 year deal.

Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
Not a bad idea. Chad is just crazy enough to sit out the whole year too. I think Marvin Lewis is an idiot and tried pinning alot of stuff on Chad, and CJ is done.

April 16, 2008, 23:44 Bengals :: WR Bengals WR Johnson Reiterates Desire To Be Traded Adam Schefter, NFL Network, NFL.com - [Full Article] Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson re-confirmed his desire to be traded on Wednesday. "I will not be at any mandatory camp," Johnson said. "I will not be at training camp. I will not be anywhere in Cincinnati. I'm not sure where Carson [Palmer] got his information from, but I know I didn't assure him of anything. I wish he'd stay out of this. He's taking how I'm feeling as a joke because I think everyone else in the organization is doing the same. But let me be as clear as I can about this. This is not a joke. I really don't want to play for the Bengals. Period." :att: |
Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
Did you guys see that the Bengals turned down a first rounder this year and a 3rd next (with the possibility of the 3rd being a 1st) from the Skins for Chad Johnson?
If they turn that down, I guess they are serious about keeping him. |
Re: WR Chad Johnson Cin - Sold for 3800cb to Needles - NOT MATCHED by Floyds
Coach Lewis also said that Chad Johnson should sit out the year. The Bengals are definitely serious about not letting him go. It will be interesting to see how serious Chad is about not playing for the Bengals.

I guess they are serious about having the Needles watse 3800 on a WR who's gonna sit out.

Bengals :: WR HC Lewis Denies Rumors, Challenges WR Johnson Mark Curnutte, Cincinnati Enquirer - [Full Article] Bengals HC Marvin Lewis said reports of a trade offer from Washington were "errant" and that team owner Mike Brown has not received any offers for WR Chad Johnson. Addressing the Johnson situation again, Lewis said the following: "I think it's time to do what you say you're going to do, and we'll move forward - He (Johnson) stated, without an opportunity to go to another team with a new contract he wasn't going to play. I think he's a man of his word, and says he's not going to play, so don't play." Sounds like Lewis is an idiot. |
