Beasts in the East
The Eastern Division DOMINATED the intra-Divisional games in the Frenzy this season.
Over the 8 weeks, the East went a whopping 23-9 against the Central and West. No team in the East had worse than a .500 record outside the division. The EAST vs. the CENTRAL and WESTNext best was the Central Division with a losing mark of 15-17 The CENTRAL vs. the EAST and WESTFinally, pulling up the rear was the West Division with a putrid 10-22 mark. The WEST vs. the EAST and CENTRALSo... Brian, where does that place the divisions over the entire Frenzy history? I believe it places the BEASTS IN THE EAST solidly in 1st place. ;) |
Re: Beasts in the East
What a sad sad year for the West. The west went into the season with a two game lead in the all time wins category. The west is now 12 games back of the east. That's quite a change in just one year. The standings now are:
East 202-178 (.532) West 190-190 (.500) Central 178-202 (.453) I won't even waste my breath qualifying anything, or trying to make excuses. I've scored less than 100 points three out of the last four week, and I've got a two game lead in my division. That's how bad things are out west. There's always next year. |
Re: Beasts in the East
Yup, I didn't expect this.

Re: Beasts in the East
The Freedom would be having a great season except for that 0-3 division start. Oh, well maybe we can squeeze out one more win for a first ever back to back .500 season.

Beat him, maybe the Highlanders, lose to me, and have your 1st ever winning season at 8-6. :D |

Re: Beasts in the East
I know it's overshadowed by the stellar teams in the East, but the weakling West actually has their division crown possibly decided this week. If the Dodgers beat the Popes, Dodgers are champs. If the Popes win, it gets interesting. I'd be a game back with 2 to go, and I'd have the sweep on Brian for the tiebreaker.
We each have 3 players going today (Popes: T. Jones + D. Lee + Vinatieri; Dodgers: Barber/Jones backfield + Favre), so a good chunk of it will be decided today. C'mon, give me something (more) to be Thankful for today!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! |
Re: Beasts in the East
I apologize for that uncalled for hype. I don't know what came over me.
Congrats to the Western Division Champion Nittany Dodgers. Go into the playoffs and DO US PROUD!!! |

No offense Jim, but I needed Matt to beat you so I could control my own destiny and keep my chances alive for taking the division. Not that the road is an easy one. I have to first take care of my own business against a vastly improved Freedom squad next week. If things go well for me, it could make for an exciting week 14 with the Eastern Division title and the Frenzy's #1 seed on the line. On the flip side, a loss to the Freedom followed up by a loss to the Opihi week 14 could put the Freedom in a potential playoff position for the 1st time ever (depending on their tie-breaking scenerios with my Predators, the Mutts and the Derby Cars). Should be a fun final 2 weeks in the BEST division in the Frenzy! |
Re: Beasts in the East
Mistake of the week... starting Jerricho Cotcherry over Wes Welker. That cost me the game. Congrats, Matt. Great, great victory.

Poor Feeley. He played a heck of a game... up until the last 4 minutes. This was a lot more fun to watch than I thought it was going to be!
