You need to edit Millers salary in the App, increasing it by 50cb's.

An increase of 25cb's for each active week thus far (week 2 counts).

I knew we were going to get into this... It should only be for 1 week(25cb).. I considered this before I made the move.
I think the language is pretty clear:
6B. Taxi Squad

... Also, players demoted back to the Taxi Squad receive a bonus to their current year salary based on the number of consecutive weeks on the active roster immediately prior to their demotion at a rate of 25 cb per week active. For the purposes of this rule, a week will be defined as passed once an NFL game has been played

Let me know if I am wrong again... I don't think the preseason week should count.. He was only active for the 1st week of the season - Demoted for the second - Before a NFL game has been played.

It's not how I remembered it, but looks like you're right based on that passage in the rules. I could have sworn it was any week or portion thereof (rounded up, not down), but doesn't seem like that with the way its worded.

Brian, can you chime in here? It looks like my memory's gone whacky! Maybe I was confusing things with the 1 week minimum. I'll correct MFL as soon as Brian also chimes in (just in case I was right, but I lean towards being in error here).

BTW, in no way would the pre-season games count. That much I'm 100% certain of!

My recollection would also be that we were going to round up, and that the bolded section was in reference to promoting a player on Sunday, say, and then demoting him on Tuesday. A game was played, so a week has passed.

However, I would say that since the way the language is constructed, we would be hard pressed to say that it has to be a two week bonus. Flaw in the language as written I think needs to be errored on the side of Valencia in this case.

I'm not on the rules committee (but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn last night)... however, it seems like each NFL game should be a fair determining factor for a contract raise. Just my opinion...

It has not been my plan for this to keep happening. I try to check the rules and make sure I am in compliance before I make my moves. Just lucky I guess.

That's exactly what I think we were referring to there in the rule. That said, we didn't cover the other end of things, something we should add to the list of things to fix in the off-season. For now we'll round down, but in future seasons I think it should be any week or portion thereof (rounding up) which is how I believe we originally meant it to be.

So in the future... say we have a player on the active roster... who plays on Sunday. When would the deadline be for moving him back to the taxi squad without having to incur another week of salary bump? Midnight EST on Sunday? Prior to the start of the Monday night game? This would be helpful to clarify for the future.

My opinion would be that the easier way to track things would be to say that every Sunday marks one week. Then we don't have to worrry about counting days or anything like that. One game = one week. Two games = two weeks. Etc. If a player is promoted and demoted before a game is played, that's still one week since he was promoted. That's my opinion.
