Very happy getting this guy. He can cover, he can hit, and he should be a fixture in the NE backfield for many years to come. Some character issues, but if anyone can smooth those over, Billy and the Brain Trust can do it (hmmm, maybe they ought to start a band using that name?).

Rodney Harrison is a god, but he's starting to wear down and his contract should be up shortly.

For the benefit of Mike et al who don't follow college ball...

Last July, he fired three rounds from a handgun at an assailant who had shot his Miami teammate, Willie Cooper, in the buttocks. He was not charged because he had a permit to carry the gun and police determined he had acted in self-defense. But he was carrying a gun. And shot it. At someone. :armed :Pimp

Then, 3 months later, Meriweather played a starring role in an ugly on-field brawl between Miami and crosstown Florida International University. Cameras caught Meriweather stomping on the heads of several FIU players who were lying on the ground during the fight. He stomped repeatedly on an opposing players hamstring area. :nutkick :Penalty :nonono:

I also don't follow college football much (though Frenzy might change that). Somebody please tell me that the helmet-weilding player did not make it to the NFL.

See, there's no brawl video for any other player in the whole NFL draft. Glad you got this guy though.
