Well so far it is the only bid. Almost like everyone is on the SAC'd schedule. Oh, well I am guessing it will pick up at some point.

I'm in somewhat of a wait and see pattern myself. Though there are a couple WR's I have an interest in. Just want to see who gets in play first I guess.

Well 13 of the 32 players tendered were WR's. Also, over half of the tender offers appear to be for first rounders. Should be an interesting time since most teams seem to have $ to spend.

LT has proven he's worth that. Also keep in mind Frank paid him 3450 last year.

I'll wager we need to go higher to keep Frank from matching.

Kind of makes sense as some players may be impacted by what happens with the draft this weekend. Otherwise, I don't get it since folks have money to spend.

If people are waiting for the draft, then I'm definitely voting against moving the RFA period back permanently. This is usually the most exciting part of the year, and now there's nothing going on.

I think I said at the time that shifting the RFA would change the dynamic. I think it has to happen either well before the draft or do the whole off season after it.

Watching from the sidelines here. I don't see how which rookie you might be interested in will affect whether or not to go after proven veterans? Unless it's purely a money thing, and you want to gauge how much $ you'll spend on rookies? But how many rookies are actually put on active rosters the first year. I can only think of 2 who might go to active right away, plus maybe one or two more depending on circumstances of team drafting them. Maybe you're all just waiting to see what we do in SAC'd!!

Yeah, I think there's really only two or three teams who could legitimately have a wait and see attitude due to the draft. I'm one of them and I'm not considering it. More bids coming today...

I have the 4 and 5 picks... and like I said, the draft has ZERO impact on my RFA decision making.

Depends on your situation, as you have picks at 4 and 5 in the draft I wouldn't expect that the RFA would have much of an impact, You are loaded in most positions. My guess, given that you have 3 good to great young QBs that you are going to avoid Russell and Quinn. You will pick what you believe the two best RBs not named Peterson and Lynch who are likely gone by then. You will have the luxury of sticking them on the Taxi squad and seeing if one of them develops.

Thats a great situation, I on the other hand probably need my rookie to play (fair enough given my draft postion) but don't you think tha the choice between RB and WR at the top of the draft isn't at least influenced by RFA availbility and vice versa

Valid points, however if I wanted to I could attempt to move up with those 4 and 5 picks, which then could mean the rookie draft could impact me... reality is, I let the rookies sort themselves out later and personally haven't looked into the rookie draft at all as far as my team planning is going. If I land an impact player, I'll adjust at that time.

Maybe poor planning on my end, or conversly, perhaps smart planning, as I'm not wagering my plans on the outcome of the rookie draft.
