Frenzy Rules Vote - Move Open of RFA bidding - Passes 11-1
 

Vote above to push back the opening of RFA bidding (since I'll be MIA till late April)

Vote yes to push back start date to April 23rd (this would also push back other key dates that would otherwise overlap). Vote NO to keep date as they are defined in the rules. This would be a one year move only, not permanent.

For the moron's among us :loser. Can we get all of the dates of importance laid out? I am guessing that they will be the same for the Frenzy and the SAC'd. TIA!

Thursday April ?? at 11:59pm - 2006 Soft Cap Period Ends

Friday May ?? at 12:00am - 2007 Hard Cap Period Begins

Friday May ?? at 12:00am - 2007 RFA Bidding Opens

Saturday May ?? at 11:59pm - 2007 RFA Bidding Closes

Monday June ?? at 12:00am (the 2nd Monday in May each year) this allows about 3 weeks for the NFL draft to be evaluated - 2007 Rookie Draft Begins

June ?? at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until 48 hours after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the UFA period

Here was the schedule Burt posted in the SAC'D thread. It looked fine to me, so we might as well keep things on the same page for the Frenzy:

"Thursday April 26 at 11:59pm - 2007 RFA Declarations are Due

Sunday April 29th at 11:59pm - 2006 Soft Cap Period Ends

Monday April 30 at 12:00am - 2007 Hard Cap Period Begins

Monday April 30 at 12:00am - 2007 RFA Bidding Opens

Thursday May 31 at 11:59pm - 2007 RFA Bidding Closes

Monday June 4 at 12:00am (the 2nd Monday in May each year) this allows plenty of time for the NFL draft to be evaluated - 2007 Rookie Draft Begins

Friday June 29 at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until 48 hours after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the UFA period

All other dates should be fine after this."

One note I would add is that the close of RFA bidding could end earlier than the end of the month, if all RFAs have completed bidding, which would open the Rookie draft sooner. If the rookie draft ends sooner than 6/29 (which I'm sure it will), the UFA period can/would open sooner as well.
