As I stated on the Frenzy boards, I'd like to ask to push the dates back a month this year.

I will be MIA for 2 1/2 weeks from April 4-21 visiting Hawaii. I can GUARENTEE you, the last thing on my mind will be the Frenzy or SACD, in the midst of RFA wars or not!

If we keep the dates as is, I wont be able to participate in the RFA process at all, which will artificially lower prices!

One last question. When do we vote on rule changes? The reason I ask is that it could impact strategy if we move to allowing a 1 RB offense?

Rule change voting should be done prior to the deadline to submit RFAs. I'm not sure how much Mike will want to give input on any new rules votes. That could affect when we'll want to vote and such. If he doesn't care, we can do a bunch of discussion while he's on vacation. If he has input, we should probably get things underway before he leaves.

I also want to voice my proposal in the Frenzy thread of having everyone put in their RFA's when Mike gets back, and as soon as everyone has posted them (not later than 4/30, but hopefully sooner) we can get started with the RFA period. The rookie draft and off season free agency can get underway as soon as the previous even has finished.

I'd prefer we discuss rules now if we can, but we may have to work to round everybody up.

As I stated in the Frenzy thread, I don't think there is a whole lot on the dockett. Those who have ideas should get some kind of proposals together for a starting point before we make sure everyone is paying attention to the boards again, IMO.

Posting the updated 2007 Dates here as official.

Thursday April 26 at 11:59pm - 2007 RFA Declarations are Due

Sunday April 29th at 11:59pm - 2006 Soft Cap Period Ends

Monday April 30 at 12:00am - 2007 Hard Cap Period Begins

Monday April 30 at 12:00am - 2007 RFA Bidding Opens

Thursday May 31 at 11:59pm - 2007 RFA Bidding Closes

Monday June 4 at 12:00am (the 2nd Monday in May each year) this allows plenty of time for the NFL draft to be evaluated - 2007 Rookie Draft Begins

Friday June 29 at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until 48 hours after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the UFA period

All other dates should be fine after this.

That is fairly standard operating procedure. Everyone should have had enough time to research by now.

The quicker, the better for me. My co-owner is up to his eyeballs in work and I will be out of state for a week and then out of the country starting June 6 for another three weeks.
