Have enough votes been received so that the revised rules can be released for the 2005 season?

I like to try and copy the website information into a word document for easier reference throughout the year.

This is probably a stupid question... but we cannot use our waiver position for UFA's, right? If I fail to designate a player as a RFA, he automatically becomes a UFA and is not elligible for waiver claims. Only those players who still have an upcoming contract year available and are cut can be claimed... (I'm sure this is correct, just want to be clear... plus, I feel the need to get back in the posting business here!).

Not a stupid question (at least not to me). I started a similar thread but was having trouble explaining what I was thinking so I stopped. Anyhow, your question was basically why I was asking my question earlier. I will defer to Mike and Brain (since it is likely covered somewhere in the rules already).

No, UFA's are NOT subject to waivers. THeir contracts have simply expired.
Players subject to waivers are those CUT by their Frenzy team.

What I don't have a conclusive answer on (and look to Brian on this one) is whether or not players cut in the few days prior to April 1st will be eligible o be claimed on April 1.

Since we are starting this process anew, I'd say it only applies to players cut in 2005 and beyond (i.e. players cut after April 1) but I'd like to see where Brians stands.

As for the rules, Brian got me an update in a timely manner, but I haven't had the time to integrate them into HTML in the past few days. I'll try my damndest to get that done ASAP so you all have a current set to work off of for 2005.

Correct, the contracts of players not tendered as RFA's contracts expire, so there is no contract to claim.

Also, I had it worded that the waiver wire priority lists becomes effective 4/1, so it would start at the begining of the 2005 season, as when most new rules take place (the following season unless specified otherwise).

I cut CHI DEF on November 23rd, 2011 at 04:47 PM
Frank cut Flacco on November 23rd, 2011 at 08:58 PM

So Dogs claim went through first, following by Burners.....also, Frank claimed Fred Jackson after both of them, and after my claim of MJD....so the order should be:

If the CHICAGO D was cut at 4:47pm & FLACCO at 8:58pm on the same day, then the Chicago claim would process first. You seem to have that reversed on the above listing.

So, it's when the player was cut and not when the award or claim was made?

The rules on the site read as follows: Once a team claims a player through the waiver process, they will be moved to the bottom of the waiver wire priority list.

Burners made a claim after Dogs so they should be moved to bottom of the list at that time. Maybe I'm still missing something?

Waiver claims have to run their full 72 or 24 hour process. At the end of the time, whoever has the highest claim in gets the player. So whichever player was CUT first... will have their WAIVER WINDOW close first. We have to play it out to the full time limit, in case someone else makes a claim.

Make sense?

Even if the #1 person on the waiver wire makes a claim, it would clear AFTER the waiver period expires.

I get it now. I was thinking the time started when I made the claim.(also I needed a TE and maybe that clouded my interpretation of the rules).

right...the difference is putting in a claim and actually claiming the player...many people can put in a claim but only one gets to make the claim...

So am I #1 or #3? The "update" on page one says I am #1 and Burt's post with the list shows me as #3 on page 2. Which is it and which is the correct list? Just curious for form sake since I do not have cash on hand to make many moves....

I believe Swords should be #11 and Burners #12. Floyd waiver processed a couple hours before Hankerson waiver.
