Frenzy Playoffs
Barring any scoring adjustments* I believe this is the playoff seeding:
1 Scorpions (11-3 West Div Champs) h2h win over Chunks 2 Chunks (11-3 Central Div Champs) h2h loss to Chunks 3 Preds (10-4 East Div Champs) 4 Opihi (9-5) 5 Freedom(8-6) 6 Burners (6-8) highest power ranking outside top 5 teams Which sets up the matchups as: Week 14 Wildcard Round Burners at Preds Freedom at Opihi Week 15 Conference Round Lowest remaining seed at Scorpions Highest remaining seed at Chunks * The Opihi lost a VERY close match to Swords by just 0.30 points which knocked them out of the division title. There is a very real possibility that an official scoring adjustment could be made before the Thursday games that could possibly alter the Opihi's loss into a win and would thus adjust the playoff seeding, resulting in the Opihi being the 3 seed and the Preds being the 4 seed. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Also don't forget that the highest seeded team in the wk14 and wk15 matchups gets a 7 point home field advantage.

Make sure BURT sees that last post. He LOVES that rule! ;)

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Totally missed this post yesterday... thus the space-cadet 2-year post on Bailey.
Damn...that also means I made my Nate Washington post thinking we still had a week left in the regular season. Ugh. Crap. Oh well. I am 47 now. They say the mind is the first thing to go... |

The following stat changes were made by the Elias Sports Bureau, and are now available to be applied to your league on MyFantasyLeague.com:
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
I don't see anything in these changes that would impact the final score in the Swords Week 13 0.30 point victory over the Opihi, thus the week 13 results stand and playoff seeding remains as indicated in first post.

nope. so close... and yet so far.

All that said, I'm not sure there really is a winner or a loser as both the Freedom and the Burners are strong teams and I'm not sure I'd rather play one over the other. Best of luck to my Eastern brethren, may the better team win this week, and here's hoping I can represent us well in the Preds 2012 playoff rematch against the Burners. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Yep... my lack of WR depth did me in this week for sure.
Hopefully I can rebound for the playoffs. (They start THIS week, right?!?!) |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Preds dropped the ball this week. Not sure why you started Gore over Bell this week Mike. Gore and the Niners have stunk it up past 3 weeks. Seemed like it should have been a no brainer, especially with Lions playing Bucs. You still have slim shot, but I don't see Lacy outscoring Rodgers, unless they want Lacy to show up Leveon.
Good luck. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
I feel partly responsible, I messed up and didn't give the rams D a multi year contract and cut them.
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Mike almost pulled it off. Had Lacy not gone out with the hip injury, he easily would have had enough to win (including his +7 home field advantage). Great match up!

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
First off I want to heartily congratulate John and his Emerald Burners for their win. Best of luck the rest of the way. You have my support!
I have nobody to blame for losing this week but myself. I'm currently in Mexico, and just didn't have time this past week to put much thought into my lineup. I should have started Bell. Was planning to put him in but forgot to get the change done in time. Same with the Rams D. I did not want to let them sell and just got too busy to check back in the next morning and keep them in play. Kudos to John not giving up their pursuit. It was THE difference maker (beyond my poor lineup couces). Anyhow I saw my Eastern brethren the Opihi advanced as well when I was able to check in a short bit ago. Congrats Jim, sorry Matt. Jim I'll of course be pulling for you as well. Good luck guys, I'll just enjoy my time in Mexico and Bahamas the next few days and laugh at my stupidity! #life'snotsobad |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Yeah, it was pretty smart of me to have you "win" the trip to Mexico and the Bahamas after I arranged to draw you in the Frenzy playoffs. I could be laying in the sun, sipping tropical drinks and having the time of my life but I wanted you to have a break from your Buffalo weather.
It was a fluke of a win but I was due... I've been on the wrong end of those battles all season long! Thanks for the playoff support and any pics from paradise would be greatly appreciated (or links like you sent from the November Buffalo storm). Have a great time Mike!!! |

Been there, done that...well other than the Bahamas thing. Enjoy your vacation man!! |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Congrats, Jim. I had a feeling I was in trouble after DeMarco Murray had a huge game on Thursday and Sunday/Monday did nothing to change that. Represent the division as it looks like the Predators are headed home (figuratively) as well!

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Sweet...I am beating Opihi 7-0 already!!!
Good luck Pastor Jim!! and to Burners and Scorpions....should be some good clashes. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Good start Burt keep it up. Maybe Alshon Jeffery will score 50 points this week instead of Leavon Bell.

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
While I certainly support my Eastern brethren, and will be pulling for you this week, it'd be nice to see some new blood who've certainly paid their dues win a championship. Thus I openly admit in the event of the Opihi and Burners finding their way into the championship I'll be pulling for John to win the title. :sorry:

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
 :lame:
That's it. The annual Opihi v. Preds spring scrimmage in Hawaii is off. NO SOUP FOR YOU! |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
That's ok. It just made our boys soft. We'll look for a more challenging destination for spring acrummage in 2015... :P
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Colorado would be challenging....high in altitude and attitude...just have to find a host home....;-)
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
How do you get a cruise ship to Colorado??? Wait...I'll GPS it.

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
So it looks like I have my work cut out to get back to Frenzy Bowl...need 31 points from Jeffery tonight. He has not broken 30 yet, but with Marshall out, and crappy Saints D, its possible. Cutler may be pissed enough to just unload for 50+points....of course Matthews getting skunked against Dallas, and Julio out, really hurt my chances.
But cannot take away from Opihi's great score...so good luck tonight Jim. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
of course would be nice to have a Frenzy Stoner Bowl :smoke:, with all Colorado representation :smoke:...would give us 3 of last 4 Frenzy titles...at least that I remember in this cloudy haze :smoke:
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Prior to SUNDAY Night Football, I thought I was sunk. Now I like my chances... but it's far from over. Hoping to get back in the finals after a hit of a drought (in Opihi history).
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Well, the OPIHI are moving on to the FRENZY CHAMPIONSHIP GAME for the first time in 5 years... last time we were here was in 2009, when we won our 3rd championship (2006 & 2007 were the other 2). Looking forward to matching up with the Scorpions, the #1 overall team in the Frenzy this season. We'll see if Andrew Luck, Demaryius Thomas, AJ Green, Matt Forte, Jimmy Graham & Co. can keep the momentum going for the Scorpions... or if the underdog Opihi have a shot at upsetting the top seed!?!?
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Congrats Jim. Gotta root for my boy though...GO SCORPIONS!!!
Good luck and congrats to you both. |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
It's too bad I made bonehead decisions last week, and was out of the country and couldn't correct them, because had I been around to pay closer attention to my team my Preds would be in the Championship against our arch rival the Opihi in what would have been a classic matchup. Oh well, life goes on, though I would have felt better had John advanced to the Championship after knocking us out!
Regardless of the above, sincere CONGRATS to Jim & Dale on advancing to Frenzy Bowl XIV! Two very strong and well deserving teams. Best of luck to you both (though I will still be pulling for my Eastern Division brethren to keep the title in the East where it belongs). |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
So I just ordered 4 Thurman Thomas cigars, as like the Bills, both Preds and Chunks can make all the excuses we want, but just could not make the plays when it counted. Will think of you Mike while I am enjoying these delicious cigars.

Re: Frenzy Playoffs
Scorpions are staying focused this week, in an effort to get back to their scoring dominance. Interestingly, the championship teams, are separated by 3.4 total points scored this year, should be a good one. Good Luck Jim!

Great championship matchup...2 very deserving teams!!! Good luck to Both!!!

It's going to be an interesting MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL matchup... which will determine the 2014 Frenzy Champion, as well. The OPIHI, on the backs of the Seahawk stud tandem of Marshawn Lynch & Russell Wilson, pulled out to a 136.15 - 56.30 lead. Unfortunately for Dale, Franchise-QB Andrew Luck picked this week to have his worst ever fantasy production (a mere 6.05 points in a beat-down loss to the Cowboys). The Opihi are spent. All their horses have run. Their score won't change. But the #1 ranked SCORPIONS still have 3 bullets to go... including both #1 WRs for the two teams tonight: WR Demaryius Thomas & WR AJ Green. The Broncos' D are their 3rd "player" to go tonight. Is the Opihi's 79+ point lead insurmountable? No. But it will take a big night from the Scorpions' 3 remaining players to bring home the trophy. Pass the popcorn... it'll be fun to see how this plays out!:popcorn::popcorn: :champ::champ::champ: |
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
should be interesting night, all my players going have the ability to get the points needed, but boy having luck get 6 points, and bennet a half point, ouch. I haven't given up, but have to admit this is going to take a special night to pull this out
|
Re: Frenzy Playoffs
AJ's injury... & Peyton's 4 picks kept it from being a close finish in the Frenzy.
The Opihi are ecstatic to bring their 4th trophy home to the islands. Mai tais are flowing freely tonight in the locker room. This was a great team effort! How 'bout those ROYAL HAWAIIAN OPIHI!?! :frenzytrophy: :frenzytrophy: :frenzytrophy: http://predsff.com/forums/images/smi...y%20smiley.gif :towel::towel::towel::towel: :champ::champ::champ::champ: |
